The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office awarded 23 grants to community colleges for the initial phase of the Telecommunications Model Applications Pilot Projects (TMAPP). The initial phase related to three areas of competition: (1)On-Line Student Counseling and Advising; (2) Electronic Transcript Exchange, and (3) Telecommunication Planning Mini-Grant. It will also help the system retrain workers and prepare the workforce of tomorrow making the State of California competitive in a global economy.
